------------------------------------------------------- BooHoo the Clown was very new to clowning in February when she went to the January Jamboree in Mystic, Connecticut. There, she met Doug and Sue and a couple hundred other clowns. BooHoo had never seen so many clowns all in one place before. Her eyes were wide with wonder; her brain overflowing with new information acquired as she attended all of the seminars. Whole new worlds for her to explore lay before her!!
She explored
clown makeup ,
clown accessories, clown supplies, balloon sculpture, face painting, magic, skits, puppets, mime, ventriloquism, and so much more.
Did you know that it really does matter what kind of balloons you get when you are shopping for clown supplies and clown accessories? Whether you are creating great sculptures with balloons or just using them to decorate, they need to be able to withstand the rigors of twisting. Balloons are very popular clown accessories.
BooHoo saw all kinds of clown makeup, learned how clown makeup is applied, how to use clown makeup to create her very own one-of-a-kind clown face, how to remove clown makeup…Oh what creative possibilities!
And speaking of creative possibilities...who knew there was so much face painting going on in the world? And that face paints are an essential part of clown supplies and clown accessories for many clowns? Awesome!! BooHoo is now looking for creative ways to combine clown makeup and face paints to create her clown face. How about some blue butterflies? She might have to change her name to BooBlue…..Naw, doesn't quite work.
Did you know that many people other than clowns love to use clown makeup? In theatrical circles, clown makeup is known as "
theatrical makeup", "stage makeup" or "greasepaint." Or, maybe it was "theatrical makeup" originally and has also become known as "clown makeup." Who knows? Anyway, clown makeup comes in a lot of different colors and textures and is used by lots of people who aren't necessarily clowns.
Well, I could go on and on telling you about what BooHoo the Clown has learned about clown makeup, clown supplies, and clown accessories since attending the January Jamboree in February, but check out Clown City of Windsor and see for yourself!
